Ms. Carrie Grafft, Administrative Director

Mrs. Carrie is passionate about providing quality service to our organization. She is available to answer questions about the program and will be providing administrative oversight for enrollment, children’s files, and parent communications, among many other duties. Ms. Carrie is known for her organizational and leadership skills, and ability to provide vision, sustainability, and mentoring to develop staff professionally. She has held administrative/managerial positions since 2009. Ms. Carrie has a Bachelors degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology and a Masters of Science in Community Leadership. For the majority of her career, she has worked with children and adolescents with behavioral and mental health needs. In fact, she helped plan and implement the first elementary program serving children with behavioral and mental health needs in the State of Pennsylvania. Ms. Carrie’s ultimate passion is her family. She spends all of her free time with her two boys and her husband. She enjoys cooking, hunting, quilting, crafts, scrapbooking, and watching movies. Please stop in and say “Hi!”


Mrs. Lisa Centner-Smith, Education Coordinator

Mrs. Lisa coordinates the curriculum and lesson plans for the Preschool and Toddler/Wobbler programs. She spends time in both classrooms and oversees staffing and the learning environment. She has a Preschool Child Development Associate credential. Ms. Lisa previously owned a successful licensed Group Home Daycare in Fairbanks for 14 years and brings a wealth of experience to the Center! Mrs. Lisa is very excited to bring new learning centers to Enep’ut, such as a dentist/toothbrushing doll practice area, magnet board and beginning reading, and more. Ms. Lisa is always collecting crafting materials – bring it in!




Ms. Bryana, Lead Preschool Teacher
Ms. Bryana is a Child Care Associate and has a Child Development Association Credential. She is currently working towards her associates in Early Childhood Education and hopes to Graduate after the Spring of 2019. She enjoys working with her hands on activities to engage the children, and she often enjoys the activities as much as the children. She started volunteering at Enep’ut after hours about a two years ago setting up the classrooms and prepping for lessons, and has since started working directly with the children. She loves coming up with new and exciting ideas for projects, and is passionate about being involved in early childhood education.


Ms. Taylor, Lead Preschool Teacher

Ms. Taylor attended Enep’ut as a toddler! She has come back to Enep’ut to help teach kids some of the most vital steps into their futures – the beginning steps of learning. Ms. Taylor has been working and volunteering in the childcare field since she was 16 years old. She is a Child Care Associate and has a Child Development Association credential.  Outside of Enep’ut, she enjoys playing with her puppy at the dog park and camping. She also volunteers with the Fairbanks Roller Derby and Interior Alaska Green Star.


Ms. Shannan, Teacher

Ms. Shannan likes taking care of kids. She is known for her creativity; she can think of a dozen ways to use or make an item, and she encourages the children to do the same. Ms. Shannan’s background is in child care for the younger set (7 years) and also as a volunteer, Library Assistant, and literature and math lab tutor for Barnette Magnet School (2 years). In her spare time, she continues to volunteer for Barnette, Ester Library, and International Order of Rainbow Girls. As a side note, Ms. Shannan and her nieces and nephews attended Enep’ut as children. That’s full circle!



Ms. Candace, Teacher

Ms. Candace works with the preschool children in the mornings. She has a lovely, quiet demeanor and soft voice that demands the student’s attention. They especially love to hear her read stories. She enjoys coming up with new activities and craft projects for the kids.




Ms. Connie, Lead Infant Teacher

Ms. Connie has 10 years of experience in childcare and obtained her Child Development Associate credential a few years ago for the Infant/Toddler ages. She is a long-time Alaska resident and has taught children at various daycares in Fairbanks and North Pole, and well as worked in the administrative side of childcare.


Mr. Alfredo, Lead Toddler Teacher

Mr. Alfredo is a fun, food-loving, outgoing person who wants to make a difference in the lives of our youth. He believes that the examples and things we teach them will guide their path and choices they make. Mr. Alfredo likes to teach kids in ways that are fun and easy to learn, and he loves seeing their bright, cute faces when they are excited about something new.When he is not working, Mr. Alfredo is usually at home cooking, watching TV, reading, knitting, or hanging out with friends. His passion outside of work is dancing. He has been dancing since he was very young. He also volunteers with the Fairbanks Rollergirls and Interior Alaska Green Star.


Ms. Chanda, Lead Assistant Teacher

Ms. Chanda works with the Infants and Toddlers and Preschoolers. She is currently a student at UAF working towards her Associates in Early Childhood Education. She Enjoys visiting with family and friends in her spare time. As well as, reading and watching Disney Movies.


Ms. Teresa, Teacher

Ms. Teresa works with the infants and toddlers full time. She Enjoys visiting with family and friends in her spare time. As well as, reading and doing crafts. She’s been in this field most of her life and enjoys spending time with the children.


Ms. Michelle, Teacher

Michelle James is from Tok, Alaska but recently moved to Fairbanks in the fall. She likes to play volleyball and basketball, go hiking, watching and singing along to Disney movies and hanging out with her friends. She is currently enrolled at UAF in their pre-nursing program. She is going to college to be a nurse for pediatrics or NiCU, She hasnt quite decided yet. She loves being around and working with children.
